Fabricating stories.


Is it ever ethical to fabricate stories? 




Fox news recently apologized for using fake headlines in a piece about bears quarterback Jay Cutler.





All the headlines used that had supposedly come from Chicago newspapers were found to be false.

    Not just unethical. Stupid. Cheap. The kind of thing that breeds contempt for sports journalism, some aspects of which are not taken all that seriously right now by the canny news consumer.
